Apps for the Mac and iOS, built with care.
Independent software development — native, privacy-minded, considered down to the details. Building since the Commodore 64, on the Mac since the nineties; mostly macOS today, and iPhone and iPad where a project calls for it.
About
Hello and welcome,
My name is Björn Kindler, and I am a passionate software developer with a particular fondness for the Mac. My adventure began on the Commodore 64, where I typed my first lines of Basic. That early fascination with programming set me on a path full of code, algorithms and projects.
From there I moved to the Amiga, where I spent more and more time on graphics — and that is what drew me to the Mac. I came at it sideways at first, through a Mac emulator on the Amiga called ShapeShifter, before committing properly with a Power Macintosh 7600 in the second half of the nineties. The Mac has been my home platform ever since.
Today I build native apps, most of them for macOS — and for iPhone and iPad where a project calls for it. I have gone deep on SwiftUI, which lets me create user-centered apps that stand out not only for what they do but for how they feel to use.
The reason I enjoy this work is simple: I love developing solutions to complex problems and seeing how my apps enrich users' lives. It is a continuous source of joy and motivation for me to watch an idea become reality and find application in everyday life.
My aim is to develop applications that are technically refined and aesthetically pleasing. I strive for every interaction with my apps to work flawlessly and also provide pleasure. Quality and user experience are my top priorities.
Are you interested in software developed with care and expertise? Then I look forward to talking to you and working together to realize your project.
Best regards,
Björn

Mundwerk 1.2 — hands-free dictation and automatic paragraphs
A toggle recording mode means you no longer have to hold a key while you talk — and pauses now turn into spaces and paragraphs on their own. Notes on the 1.1/1.2 updates, and shipping fast enough to break something.
